How this site works

Moto Payload is a reference catalog. It has no writers' profiles, no reviews and no test rides. It copies numbers from makers, shows where each came from, and does arithmetic on them.

Where the numbers come from

  • Load figures: only the motorcycle maker's spec page or spec sheet. For this edition that means BMW Motorrad country sites, Harley-Davidson media kit PDFs and Indian spec pages, opened on Nov 5, 2026.
  • Fitment and carrier weight: only the luggage maker's page (SW-MOTECH, GIVI).
  • Each figure was compared with a second page where one could be read. Where two pages disagree, nothing is published for that item. Rows with only the maker's page behind them say "maker source only" in the source column.
  • A missing figure says "not published". Nothing is estimated.

Money

Today nothing on Moto Payload is paid for: no ads, no sponsored rows, no commission links. A maker link goes straight to the maker. Should a luggage seller's referral program be joined later, the date and the seller's name get added to this section first, and the load rows stay exactly as the motorcycle maker printed them.

Corrections

Makers revise spec sheets between model years, and SW-MOTECH and GIVI add fitments every season. A row that no longer matches its source can be reported to support@motopayload.com with the maker URL. Every row is re-read at each update and its date moves forward.
